Vivo V5 Plus Selfie-Focused Smartphone Launched in India Price,Specifications

Chinese smartphone maker Vivo on Monday launched the selfie-focused V5 Plus smartphone in India. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 27,980, and it will go up for pre-orders from Tuesday - and become available to buy via both online and offline retailers from February 1.

The highlight of the Vivo V5 Plus is its dual front camera setup. It sports a 20-megapixel camera with the Sony IMX376 1/2.78-inch sensor, an f/2.0 aperture, and a 5P lens system, while it also sports a 8-megapixel camera that's meant to capture depth-of-field information. On the rear, it bears a 16-megapixel sensor with LED flash. It bears a fingerprint scanner on the home button.

The Vivo V5 Plus is a dual-SIM smartphone. It runs the company's Funtouch OS 3.0, which is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Other specifications include a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display, a 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and a fingerprint scanner.

The Vivo V5 Plus features 64GB of inbuilt storage that's expandable via microSD card (up to 256GB). It offers 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and GPS connectivity options. It measures 152.8x74.00x7.26 mm and weighs 158.6 grams.

To recall, the company had launched the Vivo V5 in India back in November. It was a selfie-focused smartphone as well, and came with a 20-megapixel front-facing camera that sports a 'Moonlight Glow' front camera light meant to improve low-light photography. It bears an f/2.0 aperture, a Sony IMX376 sensor, and a 5P lens. The smartphone also comes preloaded with the Face Beauty 6.0 app. It sports a metal unibody design, supports dual-SIM cards, and runs on Funtouch 2.6 OS that's based on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
