Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Salvation DLC Maps Release On Xbox One/PC

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 Salvation DLC is already available on PS4 and it’s coming to Xbox One and PC very soon. The game’s final map pack and zombies content drop will go live on Oct. 6. The details arrive courtesy of a blog post from the Call Of Duty experts at Charlie INTEL. A launch date for the maps appears beside a summary for each chunk of content.

Just like its PS4 counterpart, Salvation introduces four new multiplayer maps called Citadel, Micro, Outlaw and Rapture. There are essentially two refreshed experiences and two totally new ones. Outlaw is a Wild West version of Black Ops  2 map, Standoff. Rapture, in contrast, is a futuristic steampunk spin on Outskirts from Call Of Duty: World At War. The layouts appear to be identical, but the new aesthetics should bring plenty of goofy style to the gunplay.

The expansion includes four multiplayer maps, including Citadel and Micro. That second one is particularly interesting, as it takes place on a picnic table where the players are really, really small, like in Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. Another map is called Outlaw, and it's a western-style reimagining of the Standoff map from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Rupture is the name of the fourth map; it's a reimagining of Call of Duty: World at War's Outskirts arena, but now its focus is a high-tech facility.

Salvation is included with Black Ops III's $50 DLC pass or it can be purchased by itself for $15.
