Sony to launch Xperia XA Ultra in India on Monday


Sony has just released a teaser on its social media pages hinting that the Xperia XA Ultra is set to release in India. The price and availability details are expected to be announced at an event on July 25.


The key highlight of the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is its 16MP front-facing autofocus Sony Exmor R camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS). The company is pitching the smartphone mainly as a selfie smartphone.
As the name suggests, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra is the Xperia XA's upgraded model. It features a larger 6-inch Full HD display as compared to the Xperia XA's 5-inch HD display. The display is powered by Sony Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology. The Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based device packs an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) processor, clubbed with 3GB RAM and Mali GPU.

The Sony Xperia XA Ultra is backed by a 2700mAh battery, while the Xperia XA is packs a lower 2300mAh battery. It also supports GPS, A-GPS, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, DLNA and micro-USB connectivity. The smartphone measures 164.2 x 79.4 x 8.4mm and will be available in Black, White and Lime Gold colour option

Connectivity options on the Sony Xperia XA Ultra include support for 4G, GPRS/EDGE, 3G, A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Miracast, Bluetooth 4.1, DLNA, and NFC. The handset is expected to be available in White, Graphite Black, and Lime Gold colour options. The Sony Xperia Ultra's dimensions measure at 164.2x79.4x8.4mm, and it weighs around 202 grams. It remains unknown whether Sony will unveil all the accessories that were listed alongside the Sony Xperia XA Ultra during launch. The accessories include the Style Cover Flip SCR60, Style Cover SBC34, and the Style Cover SBC32.
