Facebook Hires prime Ex-Google Executives for web comes




Social media large Facebook has employed a co-founder of Google's Fibre high-speed net project to enhance its net property team.

According to school news web site Re/Code, the social network has employed Kevin Lo as its Director of Infrastructure property and Investments to assist lead Facebook's partnerships like Terragraph - a project to bring Wi-Fi to dense urban areas and Facebook's partnership with Microsoft to create a fibre optic cable.

Lo later confirmed his appointment on his Facebook Page, spoken communication that he needs to bring aboard over four billion people that lag behind in terms of victimization high-speed net services.

"...so i am excited to allow you to grasp i am connexion Facebook this month as Director of Infrastructure property and Investments. i will facilitate form our strategy and investments with partners to create wireless technologies and ecosystems that improve world property," he wrote.

However, Lo wouldn't take care of the Free Basics, Facebook's initiative for developing countries for cheaper, quicker access to net for those that cannot access it otherwise.

The report additionally mentioned that Facebook wasn't attending to become a web service supplier like Google Fibre.

Lo joined Google in 2010 and co-founded the company's Fibre project, together with managing its product, business, and operations. He left the corporate in 2015, shortly before its organization and new name in August, the report quoted from his LinkedIn profile.

In April, Facebook employed Google's Regina Dugan WHO ran the company's Advanced Technology and comes (ATAP) division.
