Sony Xperia X, Xperia XA now for Pre-Registrations in India: All you need to know before buying


Sony India has kicked off pre-registrations for the Xperia X and Xperia XA smartphones. Interested consumers can sign up on the company's India website to be the first ones to know about the details of the new Sony Xperia X and XA launch offers and price. The company is expected to announce the pricing of the Sony Xperia X and Sony Xperia XA smartphones near release.

To recall, Sony at MWC 2016 introduced the all-new smartphone 'X' series with the launch of the Xperia X, Xperia XA, and the Xperia X Performance. It's worth noting that Sony has not kicked off pre-registrations for the Sony Xperia X Performance indicating that it may launch that model later in the country, if at all. The Sony India website doesn't indicate whether the handsets launching in India will support dual-SIM. The company had also launched dual-SIM variants of the models - the Xperia X Dualand Xperia XA Dual.


The Xperia X features a 5-inch FHD display and under its hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650, 64-bit Hexa-core processor. It further includes 23 megapixel of rear camera with predictive hybrid autofocus feature and a 13 megapixel front snapper for low-light selfies.

The Xperia XA, on the other hand, features a 5-inch HD display, 13 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera. Under its hood is a 64-bit Octa-core processor while rest of the specifications are same as the Xperia X.

Sony Xperia XA comes with 2300mAh battery and Sony’s superior battery-saving technology. Sony Xperia sports a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. Both Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The devices are expected to launch on May 30.

For now, Sony has not revealed any pricing but the smartphone might come around a price bracket of Rs 25,000 for Xperia X and Rs 18,000 for Xperia XA.
