Micromax launches flagship Canvas 6 series


 Micromax Informatics (Micromax) on Wednesday unveiled its fresh corporate, brand, and product strategy — ‘Micromax 3.0’.
The company also revealed a new brand identity with the launch of its new logo and brand philosophy ‘Nuts: Guts: Glory’. “A new brand identity to present Micromax as a company that is bolder, modern and agile to take on the global smart devices market.

Micromax launched 15 new smartphones including two flagships - Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro - besides launching two 4G tablets and LED televisions each Wednesday while introducing its new logo.


India's no. 2 smartphone brand also changed its tagline to 'Nuts: Guts: Glory' as part of the Micromax 3.0 strategy for growth going forward.

The flagships priced at Rs 13,999 each, will be first ones from the largest home-bred handset maker to be introduced this year, while the company outlined its plan to become the largest services company in India on the back of 100 million connected devices by end of next year, besides a complete consumer electronics player.

Services will now be a critical aspect in the company's refreshed strategy, which will be backwardly integrated in the Around platform which will be available on all Yu and Micromax devices, which will enable single sign access to any service. Users will be able to pay for these services using Micromax's own mobile wallet, also integrated into the platform.

The company aims to achieve a 50 million user base for its services by March 2017, meanwhile, it will enter into new product segments such as connected home and will continue to invest in new start-ups.

The company will have functional manufacturing units in Telangana, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan with an investment of ₹300 crore as well as creating job opportunities for over 10,000 people by 2017.
