Twitter Back Online After Partial Disruptions globally due to 'technical issues'

April 13, 2016, 11:49 p.m. EST: Twitter came back online in some parts of the world momentarily after an outage lasting more than one hour. People were relieved to be able to finally discuss the horror on the platform itself. Then it died again.

Website tracking services including downrightnow.com and aussieoutages show reports of an issue beginning to roll in shortly before 1.00pm.

Twitter has confirmed this outage in a statement, saying: “Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter. We are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.”
UPDATE: April 14, 2016, 12:57 a.m. EST: Twitter is back up, according to Twitter. For now...
