LG V10 is Getting Its Marshmallow Update, Tomorrow

Verizon has announced today that Android 6.0 Marshmallow will soon start to rollout to users of the LG V10. The update was announced on Verizon’s Advanced Devices Software Updates page and will begin to rollout tomorrow, March 24th. The update comes with build number VS99022A.
As we’ve come to expect, this update includes all of the standard Marshmallow features. You’ll get Now on Top and Doze Mode, as well as a Silent Mode option in Quick Settings. Furthermore, users gain Direct Share, which allows users to more easily share images and other content with specific contacts. There’s also better settings for controlling notifications, while there’s a new settings menu for adjusting Google Services and Apps.

In the update, users will receive Now on Tap access, the benefits of Doze on battery life when idle, clearly upfront control over app permissions, an actual silent mode, more control over notifications, and what I can only imagine are a bunch of bug fixes and enhancements that we typically see with big updates.
Again, the update is scheduled to begin rolling out on March 24, so don’t be shocked if it isn’t there just yet. To check in the morning, head into Settings>About Phone>Software updates>Check for Update>Download now.
Interestingly, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T have all yet to update their own carrier-branded versions of the LG V10 to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but we'll be here to let you know as soon the updates start rolling out.
