INTEX UNEVILS ACE II 4G SMARTPHONE WITH 3GB RAM AT RS 8,999


W DELHI: Indian smartphone maker Intex has expanded its product portfolio with the launch of of Aqua Ace II smartphone. The company has priced the device at Rs 8,999 and it will be available in white and golden colour option on all the leading online and retail stores in the country.


The Intex Aqua Ace II is a dual-SIM supporting handset that runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution IPS display with a pixel density of 294ppi. The company claims that the handset features 80 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The Intex Aqua Ace II is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735V/W processor clocked at 1.3GHz, clubbed with 3GB RAM DDR3. It houses 16GB inbuilt-storage, out of which users will receive roughly 12GB for personal use. The budget smartphone however, can support microSD card (up to 32GB).
The handset sports an 8-megapixel autofocus rear camera with 4P Lens, aperture f/2.0 and dual-tone LED flash, while featuring a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with aperture f/2.4. On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 4G, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro-USB connectivity. It also comes with MHL support, letting users mirror the smartphone screen on to their television sets using the MHL cable. Measuring 145.3x72x8.65mm, the smartphone weighs 149 grams, and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
Surprisingly, the Intex Aqua Ace came with the same display size, screen resolution, processor, RAM, inbuilt storage, and connectivity options. However, the older phone had a lower 2300mAh battery, and housed a 13-megapixel rear camera.
One unique feature in Aqua ACE II device is the MHL Cable. Powered by MHL Technology, the cable, when attached with the smartphone mirrors everything in the android device onto the LED TV screen, thereby giving users a ‘Big Screen Experience’. Users can enjoy MHL experience with leading LED TV brands (with MHL Technology & HDMI enabled). Along with this, the cable simultaneously acts as a charging cord for the device, while the user is enjoying the big screen view.
Other features include Reverie Lock, which enables the user to choose English or Hindi as the phone language when unlocking the device. HotKnot, which helps one to share photos, movies, videos et al by simply taking Aqua ACE II screen closer to the screen of other mobile and the sharing process is ON. Smart Wake allows user to access camera, music, files or any other feature without unlocking the smartphone.
For the amateur clickers and selfie lovers, the smartphone comes with a brilliant 8 MP rear camera (with Samsung Sensor) LED Flash to capture vivid images effortlessly and a 5MP front camera (with Samsung Sensor) to click beautiful selfies with various modes even in low light.
The device comes with an in-built 16 GB ROM and an expandable memory of up to 32 GB. Additionally, Aqua ACE has a bunch of pre-loaded Apps such as YouTube, Google Play store, Hangouts, Gmail, FM Radio, Drive, Email and Chrome.
